Shareholders of the Yanson Realty Development Corporation with elected board of director held its annual meeting on March 8 at Seda Hotel in Bacolod City, and elected Emily Yanson as the chairperson and president of the company.
Carlo Narvasa, in a press statement he issued, said that the annual meeting, that was presided over by Eduardo De Mesa Jr. as proxy for Emily Yanson, was attended by stockholders representing 66.67 percent of the outstanding capital stock of the corporation.
Aside from Emily, also elected anew as members of the board of directors were three other Yanson siblings, including Roy, Ma. Lourdes Celina Yanson-Lopez and Ricardo Jr., Jerina Louise Ramos and Matthew Agustine Lopez, Narvasa said.
He also reported that the shareholders ratified all acts and transactions of the Board of Directors and management of corporations under the leadership of Emily Yanson.
In the organizational meeting that followed, Ma.Lourdes Celina Yanson-Lopez was also elected as vice-president for Operations, Roy Yanson as treasurer and chief financial officer, Ricardo Jr., as corporate secretary, Anna Isabella Galvez as the assistant corporate secretary and Narvasa as vice-president for legal, the press statement also said.
It added that the new directors of the company also vowed to continue court actions to unravel minority shareholders’ activities and their alleged pretense to act on behalf of the company, despite the absence of any legal basis.*
