The Yanson 4 siblings also conducted a stockholders’ meeting of Rural Transit (Mindanao) Inc., on Feb. 10, at the Seda Centrio Hotel in Cagayan de Oro, with Roy V. Yanson elected as chairman of the board and president, a press statement from their camp said.

Lawyer Carlo Joaquin Narvasa said the meeting was attended by stockholders representing 61.17 percent of the outstanding capital stock of the corporation.

Also elected as members of the board of directors were Emily Yanson, Maria Lourdes Celina Lopez, Ricardo Jr., Jerina Louise Ramos, and Matthew Agustin Lopez.

The statement added that the shareholders ratified all acts and transactions of the board of directors and management of the corporation under the leadership of its president.

Celina was elected vice-president for operations, Emily – treasurer and chief financial officer, Ricardo Yanson – secretary, Anna Isabella Galvez – assistant corporate secretary, and Narvasa – VP for legal. The press statement added that the directors vowed to continue court actions to unravel minority shareholders’ activities and their pretense to act on behalf of the company, despite the absence of any legal basis for them to do so.*
