Six more police officers in Negros Occidental tested positive for Covid-19, bringing to 21 the number of PNP members infected with the virus, as of yesterday, provincial police deputy spokesperson, P/Lt. Abegael Donasco, said.
On April 9, four personnel tested positive and two more the next day, Donasco said. The six police officers were added to the list of 15 others, who are now in quarantine facilities, she added.
There are now 64 NOCPPO personnel who have been infected, and 43 have recovered and are back at work, Donasco also said.
As of yesterday, 337 police personnel assigned in Western Visayas have tested positive for Covid-19. Of the number, 288 have recovered, 49 others still under quarantine, and two have died, the PNP Health Services record showed.*
