There are 20 new COVID-19 cases in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City, one of whom died, the Department of Health reported during the weekend.

Of the six new COVID-19 cases in Bacolod City, a 64-year-old male died, three are local cases, one is an overseas Filipino worker, and one is a locally stranded individual.

Among the local cases is a 33-year-old female who was set to leave the city for an overseas job, and a male and female, both aged 33, who are admitted at a hospital, the DOH said.

Of the 14 new COVID-19 patients in Negros Occidental, six were listed as local cases. Three of them are from Talisay City, two from Cadiz City, and one from Calatrava, who are facility quarantined.

The rest are a 48-year-old male overseas Filipino worker from Talisay City, and LSIs – two of whom are from Himamaylan City and one each from Hinoba-an, Escalante City, Victorias City, Sagay City and Hinigaran.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Negros Occidental to 268 and in Bacolod City to 78, the DOH reported.

There were also 25 COVID-19 patients in Negros Occidental who have recovered, the DOH reported.

Five are from San Carlos City, four from Calatrava, three each from Murcia and Bago City, two from Escalante City, and one each from Binalbagan, Sagay City, Toboso, Salvador Benedicto, Isabela, Talisay, Hinoba-an, and Himamaylan, the DOH said.*
