Two carpenters died on their way to work yesterday in a vehicular accident in Purok Amoravieta, Brgy. Antipolo, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
The two victims, identified as Rene Montaño, 43, and Omar Domingo, 35, both residents of Brgy. Buenavista Rizal, Pontevedra, were both declared dead on arrival at the town rural health facility, the police said.
Initial police investigations showed that the Rusi 125 motorcycle, driven by Montano, slid and swerved to the left lane, that was being occupied by the Fuzo truck of Leomar Alvarez, and that led to the vehicular accident.
The accident is still being investigated by the Pontevedra Police Station.*
