A suspected pusher was wounded when he allegedly tried to shoot policemen during a buy-bust operation in Purok Sunshine, Barangay 36 in Bacolod City, at about 1:30 p.m. yesterday.

Sian Christian Dequiña, 24, sustained a gunshot wound in his right leg and was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, a police report said.

Operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-6 conducted the buy-bust operation against Dequiña, who allegedly fought back when he sensed that the “buyer” was a cop.

The police poseur-buyer bought an elongated heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, in exchange for P1,000 in marked money.

Twelve sachets of suspected shabu, a .38 caliber revolver, a cellular phone, and a black eyeglass pouch were recovered from Dequiña, police records show.

The police placed the estimated street value of the suspected shabu at P136,000.

Dequiña may face drug and gun charges, the police added.*
