Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya has requested the president of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) to settle the claims receivables of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital

In his letter to PhilHealth president and CEO BGen. Ricardo Morales dated July 27,Gasataya said PhilHealth needs to settle its obligation, amounting to P134.6 million, for the CLMMRH to maintain its efficient operation.

Dr. Julius Drilon, CLMMRH Chief of Hospital, said the remaining balance owed by the PhilHealth to the hospital amounts to P134,607,154.94 as of June 30.

If left unsettled, it will also hamper the operations of the hospital as expenses for the laboratory consumables per month amount to approximately P7 million, Drilon said.

The amount is intended for procurement of supplies such as extraction kits, test kits, personal protective equipment for medical technicians, and other necessities for the hospital’s Molecular Laboratory, Drilon said.

If left unsettled, it will hamper the operations of the hospital as expenses for the laboratory consumables per month amount to approximately P7 million, Gasataya said.

The solon requested Morales for appropriate action so CLMMRH can maintain its efficient operation in pursuit of the safety of the people of Bacolod and Negros Occidental amid the pandemic.*
