Two motorcycle-riding suspects shot and killed an alleged drug personality in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday.
The victim was identified by the Silay police as Rodulfo Cain Jr., alias Jun Kumpol, 45, of the place.
Initial police investigations showed that Cain, who was categorized by the Silay police as a street level individual (SLI) drug personality, was having coffee in front of a sari-sari store at Kalye Onse in the barangay when he was shot twice in the neck.
Recovered at the crime scene were two fired cartridges of a .45 caliber pistol.
Police probers are looking into the possibility that the shooting incident was drug-related.*
