The Cadiz City government has announced the winners of its first-ever Sights and Sounds Digital Festival 2021, in line with this year’s celebration of Dinagsa Festival that was mostly virtual because of the Covid pandemic.
In the “Laragway sang Cadiz“ photo contest, the entry of Ma. Genevieve Yap won first place, Peejay Curativo – 2nd, and Genoveva Yap – 3rd. Consolation prize winners were Adrianna Heilee Provencion, Raymund Magbanua, Sammy Yap, Jacel Villar, and Vinne Morania.
In the “Dagway sang Dinagsa“ photo contest, first place winner was Jacel Villar Aro, Leica Villar – 2nd, and Kristine Joy Perez – 3rd. Consolation winners were Marvine Grace Sevilla, Joven Olaera, Jemvi Becaro, Kim Ian Beldia, and Kirk Daniel Lopez.
The entry of Nelson Gonzales was first place in the Dinagsa Souvenir Design competition, followed by Santiago Onatin in second place, and Francis Adrian Mahinay – 3rd. Gonzales‘ entry also won the authentic design minor award, while that of Onatin’s was most creative.
Consolation prize winners were Eugene Errol Tabanao, Rafael Caracena Jr., Giovanie Demasu-ay, Clint Andrew Sadia, and Cris Angelo Domingues, a press release posted on the city’s FB page last night showed.
In the “Lanton sang Dinagsa“, first place winner was the Lamhit, Dagsa, Dinagsa by Jibe, Lamhitanay Ta by Alex Lim – 2nd, and Dali Na Magdinagsa by Ian George Acumabig – 3rd.
Best musicality winner: Lamhit, Dagsa, Dinagsa by Jibe, best performer: Lamhitanay Ta by Alex Lem, best composer: Lamhit, Dagsa, Dinagsa by Jibe, and people’s choice: Dali Na Magdinagsa by Ian George Acumabig.
Consolation prize winners were Dali Na, Sa Dinagsa Festival by Kevin Fajardo & Raphael Silverio, Dali Kari Mag Dagsa by Jeruel Jayjay Lopez, Lanton sang Dinagsa by Ricky Lo Guanzon, Dinagsa – Sugarian TV by Sugar Rey Sanchez, Kinalipay sa Dinagsa by Joel Regodos & Edgar Regodos, and Lanton sang Dinagsa by Lex Chavez & JD in the House. The awarding of winners was held Jan. 26 and streamed live on the Bilis Cadiz Ugyon Cadiznon FB page.*
