A senior citizen and two other drug suspects were apprehended Thursday by the police in separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Victorias and Silay, Negros Occidental, which yielded about 60,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Nabbed during the buy-bust operation at Hacienda Consolacion in Brgy.Guinhalaran, Silay City,was Emmanuel Balogo, who is classified by the police as a Street Level Individual drug personality.
The arrest of Balogo, 37, yielded eight grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P54,400, a 125 Mio motorcycle and P3,500 in marked money.
Another buy-bust operation also on Thursday at Hacienda Romana, Brgy. 12, Victorias City, led to the apprehension of Joemer de la Cruz, 36, and Wilfredo de la Cruz, 61, both residents of the place.
Recovered from Joemer were five sachets of suspected shabu and its assorted paraphernalia, P400 in marked money, P200 in cash, an improvised pistol with three 12 gauge shotgun ammunition and a cellular phone.
Recovered from the possession of Wilfredo, 61, were two sachets of suspected shabu and an improvised tooter with suspected shabu residue.
The confiscated shabu was estimated at 0.5 gram with a market value of P5,000.*
