The operations of fastcraft and roll-on, roll off vessels resumed yesterday in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Iloilo, and Cebu after Tropical Storm Auring weakened into a tropical depression.

The tropical clone and wind signal (TWCS) was also lifted in the cities of Bacolod, San Carlos, Escalante, and Sagay in Negros Occidental, and Tabuelan in Cebu, Coast Guard Negros Occidental chief, Capt. Ludovico Librilla, said in an advisory.

Trips from Escalante and Sagay ports to Tabuelan, Cebu, those from Bredco port in Bacolod and bound for Iloilo City and Dumangas, and San Carlos City port to Toledo City port in Cebu all resumed yesterday. Meanwhile, 278 families in the cities of San Carlos and Talisay, Negros Occidental, were evacuated yesterday as preemptive measures due to the rising water level in their areas.*
