The local government of San Carlos City, through the Information Technology and Computer Services Office, is holding a basic mobile development training until Jan. 29, at the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center Extension Office.
The training aims to prepare resident computer programmers of ITCSO and other local offices for the mobile application plans of the city, its press release said yesterday.
Felix Michael Oberes, information systems analyst said, the VAMOS app that was created by the programmers intended for Covid contact tracing will become the city’s official mobile application after the pandemic.
He added that there are 85,000 individuals currently registered with the QR Code that they plan to develop further. The VAMOS app will then be used to trace violators, and in the recording of bills, taxes, and government transactions for the ease and convenience of residents, including the integration of online payments. Julius Mosquera of ITCSO also said that these plans, such as updating the application for easier access of residents or users, will be laid out after the seminar, the press release added.*
