Mayor Renato Gustilo has placed the San Carlos City Hall and City Health Office under preventive lockdown, after the local government unit recorded 17 positive cases yesterday.
Of the 17 positive cases, seven are City Hall employees, with 10 others having close contact with the patients, a San Carlos City government report posted on its Facebook page said.
Members of the San Carlos City COVID-19 Incident Management Team are also slated to undergo RT-PCR testing, following their exposure to one of the infected patients.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office has already started the disinfection and decontamination of various City Hall offices, as well as the CHO, while COVID 19 patients are now being isolated, while waiting for their confirmatory results.
Meanwhile, Mayor Ernesto Estrao declared that Hinobaan is now COVID-free, after 39 COVID-19 patients, who are Locally Stranded Individuals and Returning Overseas Workers, had recovered, as of Wednesday.
Estrao also reported that there has been no local transmission of COVID-19 in Hinobaan. He, however, advised the town residents not to be complacent, as he reiterated his advice for them to strictly observe the mandated minimum health protocols. Non-residents of the town are also being barred from entering Hinobaan.*
