A store selling used ready-to-wear (RTW) clothes in Bacolod was issued a notice of violation by the City Legal Office for its alleged failure to abide with the minimum health protocols.

The notice, signed by lawyer Reuben Mikail Sabig, who heads the CLO Enforcement Unit, was issued against the Axelbert RTW at Gatuslao Street, Bacolod on June 23.

Sabig reminded the management to implement the minimum standards required under the Department of Health Administrative Order No. 2020-0015 that limits the number of people inside an establishment to ensure social distancing.

He told the management of the store that, based on the Omnibus Guidelines of the National Inter-Agency Task Force, failure to comply would mean appropriate penalties.

Sabig also directed the management to issue sales/invoices for purposes of tax obligations pursuant to Section 251, in relation to Section 143 (b), of the Local Government Code.

The management has yet to issue a statement on the matter.*
