Positive cases now 1,682, CLMMRH hits full capacity

Negros Occidental and Bacolod City’s Covid-19 positive cases hit 1,682 yesterday and the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital announced that it can no longer accept patients hit by the virus.

The Department of Health said Bacolod City had 84 new COVID-19 cases during the weekend and Negros Occidental had 51.

This brings Bacolod City’s total number of COVID 19 cases to 735, with 257 recoveries, 461 active cases, and 17 deaths, the DOH said.

Negros Occidental now has 947 COVID-19 positive cases, 428 of whom have recovered and seven have died.

CLMMRH chief, Dr. Julius Drilon, Saturday announced that the hospital has reached its maximum capacity for COVID-19 beds.

He said CLMMRH will not accommodate additional COVID-19 probable and confirmed patients until further notice.

In Western Visayas, Negros Occidental was still at number one with the most number of COVID-19 cases at 947, followed by Iloilo City with 804, Bacolod City – 735, Iloilo province – 704, Capiz – 114, Guimaras – 76, Antique – 43, and Aklan – 25, the DOH said.*
