A motorcycle rider who evaded a checkpoint during curfew Monday was chased down and arrested by Bacolod police at Montelibano Street in Barangay Granada, Bacolod City, and illegal drugs were allegedly found in his possession.

Station 5 personnel nabbed Roy Arquisola, 25, of Barangay Vista Alegre in Bacolod, a police report said.

The police recovered from Arquisola two heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,000, a steel tube, a cellular phone, and P400 in cash, records show.

The suspect was driving a Rusi motorcycle with no plate number and failed to present a driver’s license, the police said.

Arquisola is now detained at the custodial facility of Station 5 and may face multiple charges for resisting arrest, violation of curfew, illegal possession of drugs, and driving without license, the police added.*
