The PNP Health Service reported yesterday 50 Covid recoveries among police personnel in Western Visayas, including those assigned in the National Support Units, or from 482 on May 16 to 532 a week after.
The Bacolod City Police Office recorded the highest number of recoveries at 131 out of 149 confirmed cases, while the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office recorded 111 out of 131 cases, as of yesterday.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office had 69 recoveries, Police Regional Office 6 headquarters – 67, Iloilo City Police Office – 36, Antique Police Provincial Office – 35, National Support Units – 29, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 with 14 recoveries, Aklan Police Provincial Office – 8, and Guimaras Police Provincial Office – 2.
The PNP Health Service also noted an increase in Covid active cases among WV police personnel, from 591 on May 16 to 628 a week after, including the 33 assigned in the National Support Units.
NOCPPO and Bacolod have 18 cases each, RMFB6 – 17, Aklan PPO – 15, Iloilo PPO – 7, Antique PPO6, Capiz PPO, and RHQ6 – 4 each, Iloilo City Police Office – 1, and zero for the Guimaras PPO.
Three new cases were recorded in the Aklan PPO yesterday.
As of May 23, the PRO6 and its NSUs logged 628 cases, with 532 recoveries, 94 active infections, and two deaths, with the fatalities unvaccinated, records show.*
