An estimated P850,000 worth of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia were seized by the police and operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in separate buy-bust operations in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, that also resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects Friday and Saturday.
A drug suspect identified by the police as Rufel Tuhao, alias Lovely, was apprehended by the police during a buy-bust operation on Saturday at Centermall in Brgy Palampas, San Carlos City.
The arrest of Tuhao, categorized by the police as a High Value Individual drug suspect, yielded 70 grams of suspected shabu worth P476,000, and P3,000 in marked money.
A day earlier, PDEA operatives and the local police also seized 55 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P374,000, during the apprehension of Flordeliz Agravante and Martin Nalon at San Juan Tunga in Brgy. 5, also in San Carlos City.
Recovered during the arrest of the two drug suspects were P500 in marked money and a cellular phone with charger, a report of the San Carlos City Police Station said.
The three arrested drug suspects are now in jail.
Meanwhile, policemen arrested Benjie Ruenata, who claimed to be a member of the International Police Commission, inside the Moises Padilla Police Station on Aug. 8, for illegal possession of firearms.
Ruenata, 46, a resident of Brgy.Gargato, Hinigaran, went to the Moises Padilla Police Station to coordinate with the local police in connection with the existence of their group, International Police Commission H-World, investigations of the town police showed.
Ruenata was arrested after he failed to present documents that allow him to possess and carry a Remington Rand 45 caliber with a magazine containing seven live ammunition, which he showed to the police.*
