The P8.6 million new police station of San Enrique in Negros Occidental is now ready to serve the public.
The newly-completed standard type “B/C” PNP building was turned over by the Department of Public Works and Highways to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office on June 18.
The construction of the building started June 19 last year and was completed Jan. 15.
DPWH regional director Lea Delfinado turned over the building to NOCPPO provincial director, Col. Romy Palgue, who handed over the symbolic key to Capt. Renante Salgado, town police chief, and Mayor Jilson Tubillara.
Rev. Fr. Alex Araneta, San Enrique parish priest, officiated in the blessing of the building. P/Lt. Abegael Donasco, NOCPPO deputy spokesperson, said the construction of the police station headquarters was funded under the PNP-DPWH Convergence Program.*
