P6M released for projects in barangays

Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson led the distribution of checks, worth P6 million, to finance various projects of barangays in the province.

The activity was held at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City yesterday, and attended by concerned barangay captains and authorized representatives, a press release from the Capitol said.

The beneficiary barangays are Banquerohan, Mabini, Daga, and Zone 6 in Cadiz City, Guinhalaran in Silay City, Brgy. 5 – San Carlos City, Burgos in Pontevedra, Zone 4, Zone 1A, Zone 4A, Mabini, and Palaka Norte in Pulupandan, Sag-ang and Nato – La Castellana, 4 Poblacion and Sikatuna – Isabela, Pinggot in Ilog, Banga in Candoni, and Orong and Tabugon in Kabankalan City.

The projects include the construction of water systems, purchase of rescue vehicles, construction of perimeter fence, rehabilitation of barangay hall, construction of lined canal, construction of bridge sidewalk, purchase of IT equipment and office furniture, construction of open concrete bleachers, repair of multi-purpose vehicle, swine raising project, and installation of solar powered streetlights. Strict health and safety protocols were implemented during the activity, the press release added.*
