There are no fake travel passes in Bacolod City, the City Police Office spokesperson, P/Lt. Col. Ariel Pico said yesterday amid reports that there are bogus travel passes circulating in some areas.
Pico said that, if indeed there are fake travel passes, those are not from Bacolod as they have not monitored production of such in the city.
He warned those who have any intention of making fake travel passes that legal actions will be taken against them.
The public is also encouraged to report anybody making fake travel passes, Pico added.
Meanwhile, more than 200 locally stranded individuals have arrived in Bacolod City since the moratorium on their return ended Monday, Councilor Cindy Rojas, whose office is in charge of LSIs.
She reiterated that travel within Western Visayas is unhampered and only BaCTrak and identification cards are required especially for those who are from Iloilo City.
LSIs are required to submit copies of their medical certificates from areas where they come from and identification cards with their Bacolod addresses, or certificate of residency from the barangay where they reside in the city.
These documents should be emailed along with the copy of their travel authority issued by the Philippine National Police through email address firstname.lastname@example.org and wait for the reply before they are allowed to travel back to Bacolod, Rojas said.
LSIs are also still required to undergo swab tests upon arrival before they will be quarantined in a facility free of charge, or in a hotel/inn at their expense.
Swab test results are available in 3-5 days and those who will yield negative for Covid will be released to continue the remaining quarantine days at home.*
