Some police stations under the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office launched their own free food stalls, to help those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Among those were the Escalante City Police Station, under the leadership of newly-promoted Lt. Col. Gil John Despi, and the Toboso Police Station, led by P/Capt. Paul Kenneth Magan.

Rice, eggs, noodles, biscuits, other basic goods, and vegetables are being offered for free to residents of Escalante City and Toboso.

The police advised residents to maintain physical distancing and wear face masks, and get only what they need.

There is also a community pantry at the Francisco Maravilla Street in Brgy. 3 poblacion, EB Magalona, that was set up by a Saraviahanon. It also welcomed donations from other residents, adding that a little act of kindness can spell a difference in the lives of the people.*
