More farmer-beneficiaries from northern Negros Occidental received Certificates of Land Ownership Award from the Department of Agrarian Reform.

Municipal Agrarian Reform Program officer Tessie Pedrosa led the distribution of CLOAs to 16 agrarian reform beneficiaries from the municipality of E.B. Magalona recently.

Pedrosa told the farmers, who are set to occupy 3.53 hectares, that they should maximize the full potential of the land awarded to them and make it productive.

She also reminded them to be responsible by paying the land tax on time and the amortization.

The land distributed to the farmers was formerly owned by Stephanie Santa Ramona, with Title Number T-2015000172 and covered by Lot No. 436-E, in Barangay Alicante.

MARPO Rodrigo Jose Renato Defiño also led the distribution of CLOAs to 42 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Silay City.

Defiño told the farmers that this is the completion and realization of their dreams of becoming new landowners.

The 62.6091-hectare covered landholding was formerly owned by German Lacson, with OCT/TCT Number T-2140, covered by Lot Number 630-B, and situated in Hacienda Embang, Barangay Bagtic in Silay City, Negros Occidental. Bernard Lacson, one of the heirs of the original owners, witnessed the CLOA distribution ceremony at the DAR-Silay City office recently.*
