Negros Occidental got another batch of 170 vials of AstraZeneca vaccines, that is equivalent to 1,200 doses, Provincial Incident Management Team head Dr. Zeaphard Gerhart Caelian said yesterday.
Of the vaccines, 70 vials came from the Department of Health regional office, and 50 from Bacolod City, Caelian said.
The vaccines were transported Monday by PIMT personnel to the Provincial Health Office cold storage in Bacolod City, for inoculation of more medical frontliners of the provincial government of Negros Occidental.
The last shipment of Sinovac vaccines, consisting of 3,430 vials, was dispatched by DOH regional office 6 for the provincial government of Negros Occidental and the Bacolod City government.
Caelian said he is not aware when the next batch of vaccines will be sent by DOH to Negros Occidental.*
