Residents of EB Magalona, Victorias, Silay, and Talisay, who were hit twice by flashfloods in the first two weeks of 2021 received assistance from Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa recently.
Rep. Francisco Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District) thanked Dela Rosa for sending 40 sacks of rice, in coordination with the National Food Authority.
Benitez said the rice assistance was distributed to affected families, through the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
He also thanked earlier Mayor Evelio Leonardia for the P3.5 million financial assistance from the Bacolod City government, with Victorias, Silay, and Talisay expected to receive P1 million each, and P500,000 for EB Magalona.
Senators Kiko Pangilinan, Sonny Angara, and Cynthia Villar also donated relief goods and gave cash assistance to the affected families.*
