Mayor orders strict observance of protocols in Bantayan Park

BY ADRIAN P. NEMES III

Mayor Nicholas Yulo of Bago City, Negros Occidental, warned establishments in the Bantayan Park complex to adhere to minimum health protocols or face revocation of business licenses, and closure.

Yulo mandated all stores in the park to maintain contact-tracing logbooks that reflect the names, address, contact numbers, and date and time of entry of visitors and employees.

He said the stores and establishments operating in the park are required to submit their logbooks to the Bago City Contact Tracing and Surveillance team.

Yulo, in Executive Order No. 66, said the operation of Bantayan Park will be from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. only, and all stores are urged to strictly follow the prescribed business hours.

The Bago city police, together with force multipliers, will ensure that the order is followed and that no person remains in the park after business hours, unless authorized, he added. Yulo reiterated that during the operating hours, the observance of minimum health protocols, as contained in existing laws and city ordinances, should be strictly enforced within the park, especially social distancing and the wearing of face masks and shields.*
