Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonarida yesterday signed Executive Order No. 47 creating the Quarantine Health Protocol Compliance Council to continually and efficiently implement laws and ordinances against the deadly coronavirus disease.
Leonardia also formed task Force Disiplina (TFD) which will be under the supervision of the Quarantine and Health Protocol Compliance Council.
In his executive order, Leonardia stressed the need for constant review and adjustment of existing quarantine and health protocols and issuance of guidelines for the effective control of COVID-19 and public protection from the disease.
The Quarantine and Health Protocol Compliance Council will review local orders and issuances related to quarantine and health protocols and harmonize them with existing national laws, guidelines and issuances.
The Council is also tasked to amend guidelines for quarantine procedures and health protocols for the adoption and approval of the city mayor and establish measures to check the effective implementation and ensure the compliance of all laws, orders, issuances and ordinances against COVID-19.
Leonardia will head the Council with Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran is the co-chairperson. Members of the Council are Councilors Renecito Novero, Cindy Rojas, Archie Baribar, Israel Salanga, Lady Gles Gonzales-Pallen, and Ayesha Joy Villaflor.
Other members are Bacolod City Police director Police Col. Henry Biñas, Philippine Coast Guard provincial chief Lt. Commander Jansen Benjamin, City Administrator Em Ang, City Legal Officer Joselito Bayatan, City Health Officer Dr. Ma. Carmela Gensoli, Secretary to the Mayor Edward Joseph Cuansing, Drs. Grace Tan and Anna Maria Laarni Pornan of the City Health Office, and Loben Seballos of the City Engineer’s Office.
Meanwhile, the Task Force Disiplina will be headed by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, who will be assisted by Wilfredo Geolingo as action officer.
The task force will be mainly responsible for ensuring the compliance of persons and establishments/offices will all existing laws, issuances and ordinance related to the established health protocols against COVID-19. It may also effect areas in flagrante delicto with the assistance of BCPO personnel at all times.*CGS
