A street level individual yielded P48,000 in suspected shabu when he was arrested in a buy-bust operation by policemen at about 2 a.m. yesterday in Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City.

P/Captain John Christopher Magsangkay, who led the operation, identified the arrested suspect as Richard Cabiles, 35, of Purok Matahum in the barangay.

Magsangkay said Cabiles was arrested after he reportedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange for P500.

He said that eight heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a cellular phone, and several empty sachets were recovered from Cabiles after his arrest.

Meanwhile, the Northern Negros Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry donated P10,000 worth of fuel coupons to the BCPO to boost its anti-criminality drive Monday.

BCPO spokesperson, P/Major Sherlock Gabana, said the coupons were turned over by Amity Club chairman Roger Yap and corporate secretary Crispin Chua.

Gabana said the fuel will be used by personnel of the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Units.*
