Businessman Leo Rey Yanson and his mother, Olivia, have remained in control of the Rural Transit (Mindanao) Inc., following a stockholders’ meeting yesterday.
In the election of the members of the board of directors, Leo Rey was reappointed chairman of the board and president of RTMI, with Olivia V. Yanson as corporate secretary and treasurer, a press statement from the camp of Leo Rey said.
Also re-elected as members of the board were Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo, Anita Chua, and Daniel Nicolas Golez.
The press statement added that, despite proper and timely notice, stockholders Roy Ricardo Jr., Ma. Lourdes Celina Lopez, Ma. Susan Yanson, and Juan Manuel Lopez were absent during the meeting. Leo Rey assures the public that despite the challenges faced in 2020, RTMI remains strong and resilient, and committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation for all, the statement added.*
