The House of Representatives approved a resolution congratulating and commending Bacolodnon Dr. Patrick Joseph Mabugat for securing the second highest rating in the 2020 Physician Licensure Examination and topping the 2014 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination.
The resolution, authored by Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya, said the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Nov. 26 that a total of 3,538 out of 4,704 passed the PLE given that month.
It said that Mabugat of the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City secured the second highest spot in the examination by attaining a rating of 88.58 percent.
The resolution said that Mabugat, a consistent honor student and multi-awarded student leader, earned his bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos and topped the March 2014 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination with a score of 90.9 percent.
Mabugat serves as an inspiration not only to the Bacolodnon youth but also to millions of Filipinos across the country with his hard work and dedication, made evident by his placement in two different professional licensure examinations, it said.
Mabugat has expressed his noble intent to dedicate his skills, achievements, and chosen profession in service of his community and fellow countrymen, the resolution said.
Meanwhile, the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod also passed a resolution congratulating Mabugat for ranking second place in the PLE. The resolution, authored by Councilor Simplicia Distrito, said topping two licensure examinations is not an easy task and rarely happens for this requires great sacrifices, determination and hard work which Mabugat showed to reach such exemplary accomplishments.*CGS
