Himamaylan, a third class component city of Negros Occidental, is eyeing a sister city relationship with Manila.
Mayor Raymund Tongson, in his letter to Mayor Francisco Domagoso, expressed his intention of creating a sister city relationship between Himamaylan and Manila, to promote equal and mutual benefits through maximizing existing partners and networks in exploring opportunities that will bring the potential of new investments to sustain economic growth, generate jobs, and become more competitive.
“The sisterhood is a vital step in realizing our goal of bridging communities with diverse socio-cultural backgrounds,” Tongson said.
