The launching of “Oplan Paglalansag Omega” campaign by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group as well as various police units in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, on Dec. 4, led to the recovery of assorted guns and ammunition.
Armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua, CIDG operatives, led by Lt. Col. Roldan Daniel, assisted by the local police, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 and other police intelligence units, swooped down on the house of Jerry Emia in Brgy. Tapi, Kabankalan City.
The raid yielded a 12 gauge Bently shotgun Model P30 without serial numbers with nine live ammunition, two .38 caliber revolvers with 10 ammunition, a .22 caliber revolver with eight ammunition, a gun holster and a toy gun, the police said.
Meanwhile, a drug suspect identified as Jennifer Anecita, 57, was apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Zone 15, Talisay City, Negros Occidental. The arrest of Anecita yielded nine sachets of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money, and P2,000 in cash, the Talisay City Police Station said.*
