A gun was seized from an employee of a water refilling station in front of Police Station 10 at Zone 7 in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City, at about 12:20 a.m. yesterday.

Jesmer Arangote, 20, a stay-in worker of Ken Water Station in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, and a native of Bi-ao in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, was nabbed with a .45 caliber pistol without serial number, and a magazine containing five live ammunition, police records show.

Arangote was unruly and was observed to be under the influence of liquor, the police said.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, are being readied against Arangote, who is now detained at the custodial facility of Station 10.*
