The Gawahon Eco-Park and Resort in Brgy. Gawahon, Victorias City, Negros Occidental is now open to the public on a limited capacity.

It reopened to the public on June 8 and will accommodate 30 percent of its capacity, City Information Officer Joy Pomperada said yesterday.

Pomperada also enjoined the visitors to strictly comply with the minimum health protocols. Visitors are also advised to register in the StaySafe application for contact tracing.

The Gawahon eco-park and city resort were both closed last month after a surge in Covid-19 cases in Victorias City.

Malls, supermarkets, retail and fast food stores, restobars and restaurants, among others, in Victorias City are now allowed to operate until 10 p.m., also with 30 percent capacity limit, she added.

But the selling of liquor is allowed until 6 p.m. only, and curfew hours are from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Business establishments are also being urged to strictly adhere to the guidelines specified by the Business Permits and Licensing Office, such as the implementation of minimum health protocols, with penalties of P3,000 for the first offense, P4,000 for the second offense, and P5,000 for succeeding offenses and revocation of business permits.*
