Former San Carlos City police chief, Harold Tuzon, joined the ranks of generals after he was promoted as PNP Chief of Directorial Staff.

Before his promotion to the rank of police brigadier general, Tuzon served as police chief of San Carlos City in Negros Occidental, provincial police director of Iloilo, and deputy regional director for Operations of PRO 6.

P/Brig. Gen. Rene Pamuspusan, the police director of Western Visayas, yesterday congratulated Tuzon for his promotion to a star-rank position.

“A good man like you deserves the best that the organization could offer,” Pamuspusan said in his congratulatory message.

The promotion and retirement of some senior police officials also led to the reassignment of others to new positions.
P/Brig. Gen. Manuel, Abu, former regional police director of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, is the new director of the Integrated Police Operations-Visayas.

His predecessor, Maj. Gen. Israel Ephraim Dickson, is the chief of the PNP Civil Security Group, a unit that regulates ownership, possession of firearms and explosives, and supervises the operation of private security agencies and company guard forces.

Dickson will replace Maj. Gen. Roberto Fajardo, who is retiring from the police service effective today.*
