A former member of the defunct Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade, who is facing murder charges, was arrested yesterday by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Bacolod City Field Unit in Sitio Alimatoc, Brgy. Celestino Villacin in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Nabbed by virtue of an arrest warrant for murder issued by Cadiz City Executive Judge Gwendolyn Jimenea, was Marcelo Espaltero Barbon, who is also a forest guard of the Northern Negros Natural Park.
The CIDG-Bacolod CFU report also said that Barbon, 46, of Cadiz City, was denied bail by Judge Jimenea.
Another fugitive facing three counts of murder was also apprehended by the police in Brgy. Lantad, Silay City, Tuesday by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Antique Judge Nery Duremdes.
The suspect, identified as Eduardo Seballos, alias Idoy Siballos, 59, formerly residing in Brgy. Villaflor in Tobias Fornier, Antique, was also denied bail by Judge Duremdes, according to a report of the Silay City Police Station.*
