A drug den was dismantled and six persons, including the maintainer, were arrested in the service of a search warrant at Rizal Street, corner Purok Cheriza II in Barangay 27, Bacolod City, at about 5 p.m. Saturday.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-6 Special Enforcement Team with the PDEA-Antique and Guimaras, seized 15 grams of suspected shabu, disposable lighters, and an improvised tooter, the PDEA-6 said.

The search and seizure operation also resulted in the arrest of Karen Ducay, the alleged drug den maintainer, Ronald Torres, Jojemar Bebic, Glenn Magbanua, Caroline Benal, and Mary Rose Molina, PDEA records show.

Meanwhile, a senior citizen was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Rosas Pandan, Barangay Banago in Bacolod, at about 8:25 p.m. Saturday.

Station 3 policemen nabbed Antonio Mariño, 67, who is classified as a street-level individual, and recovered from him four sachets of suspected shabu, worth P65,000, including the buy-bust item, P300 in marked money, and a coin purse.

Another alleged pusher was collared at 7th Road, Puentebella Subdivision in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod, at about 5 p.m. yesterday.

Station 6 operatives arrested Johnny Alquiza, 21, with 13 sachets of suspected shabu, worth P12,000, P300 in marked money, and a canister, police records show.*
