DOT releases safety protocol materials

The San Carlos City Tourism Office turned over safety protocol materials from the Department of Tourism to compliant establishments in the city yesterday* San Carlos PIO photos

The Department of Tourism, through the San Carlos City Tourism Office, handed over safety protocol materials to 10 accredited establishments in the city yesterday.

Ten small boxes containing stickers of varied messages, such as “Maintain Physical Distancing”, two “No Face Mask, No Face Shield, No Entry,” eight “Please Wear Your Face Mask and Face Shield,” ten “Please Stand Here”, five “Please Stand Behind This Line”, five pieces of “Stay Safe, Keep Your Distance” and two rolls of marking tapes were given to selected establishments that complied with the tourism safety standards, the San Carlos local government unit posted on its Facebook page.

Several accredited establishments already received the materials, including Quick Stay Pension House, Fe-Ben Traveller’s Inn, San Carlos City Negros Island Multi-purpose Cooperative, Roadview Inn, and the San Carlos Palau Hotel.

The remaining boxes will be distributed to Scarlet Guest House, Whispering Palms Island Resort, Inc. in Sipaway Island, and to the Guantero Restaurant “SeaSideView Restaurant” in Brgy. Buluangan.

Autumn Bacurnay of the City Tourism Office said these establishments were compliant with the safety standards set by the DOT during the Covid pandemic, the press release said.

She also thanked the DOT, the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines, Department of Tourism Region-6, and the Negros Occidental Tourism Division for their continuous support to the city.*
