Regional Director Marlyn Convocar of the Department of Health in Western Visayas warned the public yesterday against people misrepresenting her to illegally solicit funds.
Convocar said she was informed by a supplier that a person, who identified herself as Jade and Dianne, called and sent messages using her name and the DOH WV to solicit money.
The caller allegedly solicited financial assistance from the supplier for the families of DOH personnel and staff hit by COVID-19 and texted the account details – DOH Central Office Finance Officer Jonathan G. Cubay with Account No. 162110014622 PS Bank and mobile number 09610076814, Convocar said.
“I have not and will not issue such baseless order nor allow my office to solicit from any party and or supplier whether within or outside the DOH,” she added.*
