Lt. Col. Isabelo De los Reyes (retired) has been installed the new commander of the 605th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion in Negros Occidental, at rites held at the headquarters of the 6th Regional Community Defense Group of the Army Reserve Command at Camp Gen. Adriano Hernandez in Dingle, Iloilo Saturday.
De los Reyes retired as civil military officer of the 303rd Infantry Brigade, based in Camp Maj. Nelson Gerona in Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental in 2012.
He succeeded Ret. Col. Nathaniel Villasor as battalion commander of the 605th RRIB. Villasor was also former CMO of the 303rd IB.
Col. Alcon Magdamit was the presiding officer at the turnover ceremony, while Brig. Gen. Marion Sison, commander of the 301st IB under the 3rd Infantry Division, was the special guest. Sison of PMA Class 1991 was De los Reyes’ classmate in Basic Airborne Course when they were lieutenants yet. De los Reyes is the son of Lt. Col./Dr. Telesforo De los Reyes Jr., founding president of the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine Negros Occidental Chapter, and Dr. Erlinda De los Reyes, past president and lifetime member of the Board of PCOM.*
