A decrease in the Covid-19 positivity rate was noted by the Bacolod Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit from July 3 to 9.

In its report over the weekend, the CESU announced that the positivity rate last week was only 29 percent compared to the 30.09 percent it recorded from June 28 to July 3.

The CESU said that 44 Covid positive patients were admitted at the government-run Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, as of Saturday.

Sixty-five other Covid-related admissions were also recorded at the CLMMRH over the weekend.

The hospital is still undermanned with the confinement of 28 staff members, who had tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 since July 11.

Eighty-nine other hospital employees have gone on sick leave and isolation after being exposed to Covid-19 patients, the CESU said.

Meanwhile, the CLMMRH, in its advisory, said the Covid ward at the 5th floor of its West Tower Building has reopened after all necessary repairs were completed.

The area was temporarily closed last week for repair and disinfection.

Patient transfer may be coordinated through 0917-1007093 or 701-7865.*
