A couple and four others are now in jail, following their arrests in police operations on Friday and Saturday in Negros Occidental that also yielded suspected shabu and guns with ammunition.
Nabbed during a buy-bust operation in Purok Daisy, Brgy. Tampalon, Kabankalan City, were Ronald Guzon, alias Jingle, and his wife, Anabelle.
P/Lt. John Paul Tabujara, deputy Kabankalan City police chief, said yesterday that Ronald, was previously arrested and released from jail for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, before his apprehension on Aug. 14.
The arrest of the Guzon couple yielded five sachet of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia, P100 in marked money, P4,100 in cash, and a black Widow 9mm revolver with four live ammunition.
Another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Zone 8, Talisay City, also led to the arrest of Arlene Delgado and the recovery of 10 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money and P800 in cash, police said.
Policemen also arrested on Saturday a certain Louie Bandiola, a construction worker, in Purok Santan, Brgy. Zone 4, Talisay City, that also yielded two grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P13,600, P750 in cash and P500 in marked money.
Meanwhile, the implementation of a search warrant issued by Judge Jose Meno Ruiz at Hacienda Leonor in Brgy. Jonobjonob, Escalante City, also on Aug. 14, led to the arrest of a suspect identified by the police as Romulo Saguire.
The raid at the residence of Saguire, 29, yielded a .38 caliber revolver with 28 live ammunition and 31 other ammunition for caliber 40 pistol.
A certain Cesar Rojo is also locked up at the police custodial facility after his arrest on Saturday in Brgy. Zone 5,Talisay City that yielded an improvised gun loaded with one live ammunition.*
