Operatives of Police Station 8 seized P146,000 worth of suspected shabu during buy-bust operations in barangays Tangub and Pahanocoy in Bacolod City Monday.
P/Major Joerey Puerto, PS8 commander, said they arrested Alvin Tanoy, alias “Dodong Lapo”, 24, of Purok Matahum, Brgy. Tangub, at about 8:10 p.m. after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P500 to a police poseur buyer.
Puerto said 11 additional heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 20 grams and with market value of P136,000, were seized from Tanoy after his arrest, adding that the suspect is considered a street level individual.
Joshua Arroyo, 28, of Brgy. Alijis, and Joselito Dagatan Jr. of Brgy. Taculing were also nabbed in a drug-bust operation at about 6 a.m. Monday in Brgy. Pahanocoy, after one of them sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer for P200.
An elongated sachet of suspected shabu, worth P10,200 and weighing 1.5 grams, was confiscated from them after their arrests.*
