Eight more drug suspects were arrested by the police in buy-bust operations yesterday and Thursday in Negros Occidental, that yielded more than P80,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Two drug suspects, identified as Jerby Serquillos and Allen Carepiano, were arrested Thursday by the police during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Sibucao, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City.
However, their companion, identified as Albert Fajardo, managed to escape, the police police.
The arrest of Serquillos and Carepiano yielded a gram of suspected shabu, worth P6,800, the Bacolod City Police Office Station 3 reported to Police Regional Office 6.
Another buy-bust operation in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City, yesterday led to the arrest of Joel Languido, and the recovery of five plastic sachets of suspected shabu, with a market value of P13,600.
Also nabbed in another buy-bust operation in Stop Aguinaldo, Brgy. San Isidro, Toboso, was Casimero Glorian, 52, who yielded two sachets of suspected shabu, worth P2,380, and P500 in marked money.
Policemen also arrested Agustin Salutin in another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Taloc, Bago City, Negros Occidental Thursday, and seized from him three sachets of suspected shabu, P300 in marked money, a cellular phone, and P137 in cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs.
The arrest of France Lee in Brgy. Fabrica, Sagay City, yielded four sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money, while the apprehension of John Sonido in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, for a similar violation, resulted in the recovery of four grams of suspected shabu, worth P27,200, a cellular phone, and P1,000 in marked money, the police said. The apprehension of Rollie Austero in Brgy. Nabulao, Sipalay City, also yielded five grams of suspected shabu, worth P34,000, a cellular phone, and P300 in marked money, police said.*
