The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City will limit patient admission after it has reached its maximum bed capacity, its medical center chief, Dr. Julius Drilon, said yesterday.

In an advisory yesterday, Drilon informed the public and the Bacolod City Emergency Operation Center that some of its hospital wards, like the Obstetrics and Gynecology and Neonatal Intensive Care Units, already reached maximum capacity.

“Our Covid wards, including our newly opened Covid Critical Care units, are currently full,” he said.

Drilon said they will limit admissions and may not accommodate additional patients until further notice, or when the beds become available again.

He is requesting the public to contact their hotline 702-4480 or 701-7865 first before the transport or transfer of patients.

“We appeal to the public for patience and forbearance during these times of pandemic,” Drilon said.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health in Western Visayas yesterday reported that Bacolod City has 162 new Covid-19 cases, 141 recoveries, and one death, while Negros Occidental has 87 new cases and 61 recoveries.*
