Ceneco suspends disconnection until Aug. 31

BY MARCHEL P. ESPINA

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative has suspended its disconnection until August 31.

In an advisory, Ceneco said it understands the plight of its member-consumers in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It added that it continues to accept payment of bills at Ceneco offices Mondays to Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Consumers can also pay their bills at the utility firm’s collection center at Robinsons Mall from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., its authorized banks or Alvio collection centers.

Earlier, Ceneco announced that the residential rate for this month is now at P10.5943 per kilowatt hour, from P10.2716 per kWh last month, or an increase of P0.3227 per kWh.

The hike was attributed to the increase in the generation, transmission, and system loss charges.*
