The Department of Labor and Employment in Western Visayas is reminding beneficiaries of the Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program to claim the P5,000 financial assistance.

DOLE 6 regional director, Cyril Ticao, said 545 workers have yet to claim their financial assistance from the remittance service provider.

This is equivalent to P2.7 million in unclaimed benefits, he added.

“We’re calling on the beneficiaries to claim the assistance. There are a lot of workers who were complaining that they were not able to get assistance from the government,” he said.

He added they were surprised to learn that a lot of workers have yet to claim the cash aid.

As of yesterday, P127 million was disbursed to 25,400 affected workers in the formal sector in the region through CAMP.

CAMP is a safety net program of DOLE that offered financial support to affected workers of private establishments that have adopted flexible working arrangements or had closed due to the pandemic.

Ticao advised the beneficiaries to email a scanned copy of their government-issued ID and contact number to dole6camp2@gmail.com for their claims to be released.*MPE
