The bodies of two more teenagers, who drowned while swimming with friends in a river in Bacolod City Wednesday afternoon, were found in separate areas in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, yesterday.
The body of Karl Gabrielle Cabrillos, 16, was found near the shore in PurokTumpok, Barangay Zone 15 in Talisay, yesterday morning, while the remains of Jarren Pahilagao, 15, was discovered at the Matab-ang River, also in Barangay Zone 15, at about 3 p.m., Geoffery Gutierrez, head of the Talisay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, said.
All three missing teenagers have been accounted for with the retrieval of the bodies of Cabrillos and Pahilagao yesterday, and of Janet Rodriguez, 16, in Talisay on Thursday.
The friends, who were all minors, decided to swim in the Simulong River in Abkasa, located near the boundary of Brgy. Mandalagan in Bacolod and Talisay, at about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Gutierrez said.
A flash flood hit the group at around 3 p.m., and three of their companions were able to swim ashore.*
