The Bacolod City Police Office seized a total of 211.712 grams of illegal drugs, worth P1.4 million, from 49 operations it conducted, that resulted in the arrest of 62 street level drug personalities and two minors in June.

The drug haul was higher than the P700,000 in drugs seized by BCPO in May in 50 police operations.

But the charges filed last month were only 71, compared to the 94 cases filed in May.

In the campaign against wanted persons, the BCPO conducted 57 operations last month.

P/Major Sherlock Gabana, BCPO spokesperson, said these operations led to the arrest of three most-wanted personalities.

The BCPO also reported the surrender of six loose firearms, while 49 individuals were arrested for illegal gambling.

P/Col Manuel Placido, BCPO director, reminded the personnel to be always motivated to do their job to make Bacolod City safe and peaceful, and always be on alert against Covid-19 by strictly implementing and observing the minimum health protocols for their safety and protection.*
