The Bacolod City Water District has again suspended disconnection activities and imposition of penalty charges until October 31 as movement is limited with the city under modified enhanced community quarantine until end of this month.

Juliana Carbon, Baciwa general manager, in an advisory yesterday, said their office will be closed to the public effective today, and will reopen and start accepting bill payments on October 5.

The reading of water meters and delivery of bills for September are also suspended, she said, adding that billing for the current month will be based on the billing consumption in August.

The October bill will include the current bill, the September billing, the arrears as of August 31, and other charges, she said.

Carbon said the current bill will become due on or before the due date indicated in the bill.

She also said that consumers can pay their accounts as of September on staggered basis until October 31.

Consumers are encouraged to pay their bills through GCash, PayMaya, and at any collection centers listed at the back of their bill, she added.
